Who would benefit from this program?
Have you noticed that you are only asked to repeat yourself for only certain words or sounds? If that's your case, purchasing an entire accent
reduction system is costly and inefficient for your needs, If you just have a few problematic sounds, Speak Clearly NOW!™ Is perfect for you.
Would improving your pronunciation of the American English Language help you advance in your career? If you work at a help desk call-center
where you have to speak to native English Speakers, If you are English As A Second Language (ESL) student, an actor who would work more in the
United States if you obtained clarity of speech. Or simply wish to feel confident when you speak, Speak Clearly NOW!™ is for you.
My English is very limited, will I be able to work with Speak Clearly NOW!™ ?
Absolutely! If you can read this and understand it, you can download any lessons and work on improving your sound production of the American English language.
Why so many different lessons?
English is NOT a phonetic language. That means that there is no clear relationship between the letters in a word and how it's pronounced. For example, the
"k" in the words "know" and "knee" is NOT pronounced.
Also, there are twenty-six (26) letters in the English alphabet and over forty (40) sounds in the English language. For this reason systems of symbols were developed in the 1880's by the
International Phonetic Association to represent SOUNDS in English. The result was the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). These are the symbols you most likely
find in dictionaries. Other systems of sounds exist too; you might have heard of diacritic. Speak Clearly NOW!™ Uses the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA).
Speak Clearly NOW!™ Focuses on the production of speech sounds, articulation of the American English language.
How do I know which lessons to choose?
One of the easiest way to figure out which sounds you need help with, is to pay attention to when you are asked to repeat yourself when speaking English. By keeping track
of just a few words, you will find which sounds you need to improve on. You are also welcome to contact us with your list of words, free of charge at Help@SpeakClearlyNow.com
and we will send you a list of recommended sounds to download.
Why isn't the word list in alphabetical order?
Because we want you to stay engaged and alert. When you know what to expect learning becomes robotic and tiresome. Think about it, in real life we
do not speak alphabetically. We don't believe that you should learn sounds that way either.
How long is each lesson?
No more than fifteen (15) minutes.
